HOW TO SURVIVED WORKING LIFE (UNDER PRESSURE)




Assalamualaikum everyone,

It's been 2 years already mehh since I graduated from UTHM! Sekejapnya masa berlalu. 
Dulu kemain ghisau tak dapat kerja lepas habis degree. Next phase yang paling mendebarkan aku selepas je tamat last paper and unofficial results pun dah update in UTHM system. 
Pointer tinggi penting tak?  Am I under qualified because I'm a fresh graduate? Is it bcos I have zero experience?
So many questions tau. Before this aku tak pernah kerja part-time, so been officially working under an organization is such a large step for me as a young adult. 

In this post aku nak share a little tips for fresh graduate to survive in working environment with flying colors gituuu. Bcos I know ramai yang masih struggle nak adapt with new working culture.

1. Be Friendly 

Firstly, apabila berada di tempat baru kita mesti ramah dengan semua orang. Jangan buat muka kerek, anda masih lagi baru! HAHA
Masa mula-mula kerja aku gerak solo sebab tak pandai nak bergaul dengan akak-akak office. But after a few days, I push myself to be an extrovert around older colleagues...Dengan asked about their job position and their role in the organization. Soon or later, they will naturally open up to you about their working experience.

2. Fast-learner

Secondly, to be at the entry level you have to learn and know every process, hazard & procedure that happened in the company. So apa yang berlaku is that aku ni agak slow apabila my senior collegue assign aku untuk buat desk job for example key in data in excel. Excel pula aku cuma tau basic so I skekk if I accidently messed up the calculation/formula. HAHA
So apa yang perlu kita buat is always take a note and jotted down every details okehh. Always bertanya! Jangan jadi bodoh sombong, at first akak officemate maybe annoying sebab asyik tak faham je...but at least you ada passion/effort to learn new things.

3. Communication

Communication ni one of the soft skills yang perlu adik-adik fresh graduate asah sampai tajam. Why? Bcos in working life you gotta face various type punya perangai orang. For me, as an industrial employee I had to communicate dengan every department, management, third-party vendors & customers. So, aku ni sumpah introvert untuk bercakap dengan stranger dan teragak-agak untuk sampaikan sesuatu. Also aku jenis yang akan explain panjang berjela, then I realise I gotta fix this habit. Make it short, simple and easy to understand. Don't be too confident or to intimidate bila bercakap.
You gotta be confident waktu communicate with people and look at their eyes bila bercakap.


4. Problem-solving (Face your own problem! Don't run away!)

Tips no 4 ni  agak menarik, aku perasan ada dua jenis manusia apabila berdepan dengan masalah di tempat kerja. Pertama, bila masalah timbul mereka akan buat tak endah/ tak peduli dan akhirnya orang lain yang terpaksa finish the job. Kedua, datang la segala bala tentera bugis pon dia tetap keep calm and fix the problem till the end. Masa mula-mula kerja aku memang surrender bila problem datang, selalu senior akan settle kan for me but rugi tau bcos pengalaman yg akan buat hati kita lebih kental mengharungi ombak duri worklife. Now aku dah comfortable dengan my position, datang apa masalah....aku dah boleh hadap sampai habis. 

5. Be responsible

Lastly, after you dah dapat solve the problem and make a final decision of course you have to be responsible if anything bad happens along the way. Masa tu baru you can find other alternatives to avoid those challenges, jangan buat tak tauu or diam. Kena marah/maki tu biasaa. Esok datang kerja sengih2 macam tak ada apa jadi. HAHA Kbai
